We did it!

Yes, we survived Christmas 2007. It was close, but we did it. It all started with our drive to Clarion on Saturday at 6AMish. The boys were really great, we did our usual stop every three hours for about an hour to feed and change them. Me, on the other hand didn't do so well. I thought for sure that I was getting the stomach flu once more, but realized that it was my friend, car sickness. Matt graciously stopped about an hour into our trip at a hospital where I made friends with their public restroom. After a hefty dose of dramamine I was feeling much better. There was one other hiccup in Ohio where we stopped for lunch at a Hardees and it took an hour to get two burgers and fries. Apparently they lost our ticket among the million other tickets that they had processed. They gave us our money back and an apology. Luckily, we brought the boys inside and fed them after we ordered so we were feeding them for most of the time anyway. We checked into the hotel around 5PM which makes our whole trip about 11hrs. And I used to complain about a 61/2hr drive from Richmond to Pgh. - what was I thinking!?! That night we ate Chili (of course!) at Grandpap Bevevino's and introduced the boys to everyone there. Here are a couple of those pictures...Aunt Lori with Jonathan. Uncle Shane with Bryan(I think...I know, I'm horrible).

We also spent the next day with the Bevevino side of the family. We ate a lot, laughed a lot, and calmed the boys down after a ton of overstimulating. Here are some more pictures..

The next morning, we headed out for Nanny and Popu's house in Glen Hope. That trip only took about 1hr and 45mins. We wished that trip was just a bit shorter! Everyone had a great time seeing the boys. We barely even got to hold them with all the family that wanted to see them. Big families mean lots of love. While at Glen Hope, the boys got to dress up as "Ho Ho" and the real "Ho Ho and Mrs. Santa" came to visit. Here are some pictures...

Christmas Day, we opened gifts from Uncle Shane and Aunt Amy then we drove to Aunt Beth's for some games and more food. Here's a family photo...

The boys were definitely ready to go. That night, they cried for a few hours and there was nothing we could do to stop it. They eventually cried themselves to sleep - thank god! Thankfully, we didn't wake up anyone except for Uncle Jerry which assured us that he wasn't bothered by it.

The drive back home was a little less desirable. We were off to a good start with just a little crying, we took a little detour for a special restaurant in Ohio during lunch, then they were just sick of the whole traveling idea. They cried for a while, then fell asleep again. We were all very happy to be home and in our own beds that night approximately 14hrs later.
